Fall Harvest Festival - Friday October 14, 2011 5.00pm to 8.00pm
The Harvest Festival is the first social event for families at Gleneagles School to get to know one another and have some fun! There are a range of activities organized to involve the youngest to the oldest member of your family opportunity. Below is a list of the activities – we hope to see you there! Parents Only Wine Draw Win your Thanksgiving wine with this mini GPAC fundraiser. We will be collecting donated bottles of wines priced between $12 and $20 per bottle from now until the evening of the Festival. Each bottle of wine donated will receive 2 draw tickets. The 1st prize gets their pick of ½ of the bottles collected. The 2nd prize gets their pick of ¼ of the bottles collected and the 3rd prize gets the remaining ¼ bottles. Wine donations are accepted on the night! Please drop off your wine donations at the office and write your name clearly on the sheet provided so that we can enter your draw tickets. Zucchini Race Back by popular demand is the hilarious Zucchini Race. Kids (and adults) of all ages, paint them, glue them, glitter them or power them up – whatever makes them move faster! Bring them decorated and ready to race! Pie Baking Contest Simply bring your delicious pre-cut pies to the gym stage at 4:45pm (with your name labelled on the underside of your plate). Parent and Student Judges will decide 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and all remaining pie slices will be sold for desert! For more details click and download the PDF below.
Student Photo Contest
Rules are simple, choose a category, print your photo and glue it to a sheet of paper (8.5 x 11), write your name, grade and age and chosen category under the photo. Write a sentence or two telling us about your photo and what inspired you. Remember, the photo must be taken by the student! A winner from each Grade/Category will be selected. For more details click and download the PDF below.
Food and Refreshments
Our local caterer “Euphoria BC Caterers” is once again providing a mouth-watering offering. Max-Frut bars, refreshments and of course the pie sales will also be available. Forms for food orders will be sent out shortly. Advance ordering is strongly recommended as the food is very good and runs out fast! New this year! Face painting, Apple Bobbing, Guess the Candy in the Jar and a Gleneagles T-shirt sale! Volunteers Needed We are still looking for volunteers so if you are able to help out please email Sharon Dowling ([email protected]) or Joanne McKenna ([email protected]) |
